1991 Fat Chance Wicked
There are some bikes that you have to build and ride just to experience what all the hype is about. I never did see many Fat Chance's on the trails or races growing up, and they never appeared on my radar until I started working with people who had seen them in the US in shops. The more I heard the more they intrigued me. They were on everyone's top bike lists. Maybe I should build one and see what everyone is on about? Eventually when the time was right I imported this frame from the states, and built it up with my favourite group- the tried and true Deore XT 737. It was a fun bike to ride, the detail in the frame was superb. I could not fault it at all...

But if I am completely honest I felt that it did not ride as well as my brodie, and I knew that the Wicked would be more appreciated in a Fat Chance enthusiast's collection, so it was passed on to make room for new build projects.
